saw a real Miracle today
« on: August 21, 2010, 07:57:36 PM »
Driving on the interstate in Idaho, I saw a pirus with an Obama sticker on the back of it. The miracle was that it did not have a dent on it and no sign that it had ever been run off the road.

You may not realize it, but you really hit a big difference between the "left" and the "right". In the liberal enclave of Seattle, there have been numerous reports of vehicles with Rebublican bumper stickers (or houses with yard signs ) being vandalized, etc., yet it is very seldom that a report is made to the opposite. For the self-described party of tolerance, they tend to be very intolerant. "Keying" lifted trucks, damaging Suburbans, etc. etc. Not to mention the far-left loonies torching "things" they don't like ( fur-farms, a new lodge in the wilderness, "gas-hogs" at new car dealers, etc. etc.
The left are the angry, loud, destructive folks, while, generally speaking, those on the right tend to be very much more responsible, and civil. Perhaps that is not a good thing....as things are turning out..

Ever say to yourself that some folks ought to come with visible labels such as "I am an Idiot" so that you don't waste any of your precious time trying to deal with them?

When Obama bumper stickers first started appearing on vehicles I thought to myself  'What do you know, somebody was listening.'   ;D

why would such a sight be a miracle?

I recently heard someone say "the loudest voices for tolerance often come from the most intolerant of people."

I find that quote to be very true.

Where does shooting/bombing abortion docs fall in this rant? Full disclosure. Someone lifted the Ron Paul sign off my lawn sometime in mid 2009. And I like your bubba reference, be it conscious or subconscious. Rebublican

No, it was not Jefferson.
It was Robert A. Heinlein, a popular science fiction author.

So my neighbor gets a new boat and asks me about launching it. I told him to just get the trailer half way in the water and slide the boat off. He calls me later saying its impossible to get the trailer into the water.  Looking back, I'm wondering if there were any indications that he was a dummy?
