10 Gauge cannon cleaning supplies

Just acquired a 10 gauge signal cannon. I'm guessing from what I read soap and water, then flushing with water, then oil of some sort will do the job.
I'm also curious if anyone knows anything about the cannon, online searches didn't turn up much. It's marked Ray-Vin 014.
Since I don't own a boat I'm thinking of building a stand that looks like a barge with 4 4 inch steel wheels. If it looks too goofy it was still cheaper than buying a boat :)
From the videos I watched I'm guessing I need a lanyard in the 3-4 foot range.
I'll let y'all know how it turns out.

Ray-Vin is/was (he has retired) a prolific gun accessory maker but has pretty much shut down his internet presence and does not seem to have left a public email address.  I have sent out an inquiry and will report if I get any results.
