Blind, treestand or other......

What method seems to work best for you?  I've used them all from time to time over the years and have found that one method doesn't work for all location.  The layout, type of trees, and underbrush tend to make the decision for me.  Also the time of year and weather also play a role in how I decided when location and method I use.  During the rut, I do a lot of still hunting in the middle of the day.  You never know where that buck is going to be, so moving slowly along know routes of travel may get you a really close shot at a nice buck.

I'd be interested in hearing how some of you other folks hunt and why.

Well I have numerous ladder stands, 2 climbers for getting in a hot spot or moving with the wind, and I have 2 lock on stands with sticks up to 25'. I have had fair luck hunting yotes and ground hogs from round bales out in open fields. Not had good luck ground hunting or blinds so I gave them up. My shortest stand is 17' I am just so afraid I will get scented by that whitetail nose silly to some I'm sure just my way. I have a friend that was shot in the head in line of duty and can no longer hunt from tree stands gets vertigo bad and he kills at least 1 deer every year from the ground.
