Attracting does

It seems to me all the deer calls and scent attractants are geared towards bucks, what will attract a doe?

Fawn bleat will work sometimes during the early season. Bonus is it sometimes brings in a yote.

We drew antlerless tags this year, gonna try the Primos call, the call is $9 locally, be sure to watch the video.

 GH1,

    I've hunted with a neighbor that has called them in for doe hunts (and just for fun) many times with success, he used a call that goes into and against the roof of his mouth, I don't know the manufacturer. I imagine that the primos, or any other call would work just as good with a little practice.

  It was pretty cool to watch, the deer came in just like called coyotes.

I know this sounds strange but I have had success calling does into range with a turkey call.  I don't know if they are just curious or they think the turkeys have found a food source.  A couple of years ago, during turkey season, I called two different bunches of does into almost touching distance with  a turkey call.  I would quit calling and they would walk away but as soon as I called they came back.  Probably the most fun I ever had while hunting turkeys.  I am an indifferent turkey hunter at best and like to call them but have no real urge to shoot one.  Then I would have to clean the thing and besides the local grocery store has them already ready to pop in the oven. :D

I put on some good after shave, buy a bottle of champaign and a dozen roses. works all the time.

...you could just show that you are truly interested in them as a deer, and don't view them as just some tasty backstraps...

I find that soy bean and iron and clay pea sprouts when just poking their tiny leaves through the ground tends to drive does into an eating frenzy.  But, if you can't wait for that, the Primos Fawn Bleat video was quite good.  Thanks Tim!

Same here......many times over the years I have seen deer come to a turkey call and run in and actively start to feed/browse around my decoys. Last spring on two consecutive mornings we had a nice buck with horns just starting to protrude, come in to my aggressive turkey calls actually stick his nose into the brush blind we had made. He seemed oblivious to our scent and would look directly at me while I called using a mouth diaphragm. He would walk away and then return everytime I started to call again.

Probably so. I asked the local warden a few years back if I could use a turkey call to call in coyotes, since they seem to beat the Toms in to the decoys most days. His reply was that if I was using a turkey call and had a valid turkey license during the regular season I would be legal. Doing so without a valid permit or out of season meant I was in violation.

If not I've used the various doe bleat calls before by making short bleats not turning the call over all the way.
