Any one out there use a 180 gr bullet in the 357 mag??  I have a 10" contender that I would like to make a Pig gun.  Any one know where I can get a mold and how about loads for It?????  Thanks in advance for any help.

Stop by the Ask Veral Forum and discuss your mold needs with him. He'll steer you to the right LBT mold for your use. Once you get the bullets in hand data should be no problem. Plenty of it out there and you can use any of the 180 Jacketed bullet data for lead bullets with lower pressure.

I use a 180 grain WFNGC from Veral, the one with the .4 inch nose.  I seat it over about 15.7 grains of H110 and shoot 2-3 inch groups all day long at 100 with my Virgin Valley 10 inch barrel with 2x6 scope.  

I've shot a pig and a deer with it, kills competently but not spectacularly.  I feel more comfortable with more gun on deer and pigs.

We cast the Saeco 353. This is a good 357 bullet. The mould is easy to use and the bullet very accurate. They also make the same bullet is a gas check version.

RCBS has a 200 gr. FN or FP that does very well in rifles. This bullet is a little harder to cast plus you must fool with the gas check. Still a very accurate bullet from customer reports.

LAH and Hogslayer:  you can purchase 200 gn semiwadcutters for the 38/357s from Colorado Cast Bullets.  I shoot mine from both a 38 Spl and the 357.  My 357 loads are over 12.4 of 296 for a stated factory velocity of 1335'/sec.  It is an easy shooting load that's rated at only 35K psi, and it hits very, very hard.  HTH.  Mikey.

I,ve been using the 180 Laser Cast True Shot bullet I ordered from Cabelas with 15.0grns LilGun and a regular primer. It's the most accurate load I've found out of my 6" GP100. BM

PS: They really weigh 180
