Factory Seconds - Model Seven Stocks
« on: August 19, 2010, 07:11:08 AM »
Some time back I picked up a M7 Youth in .260.  The idea was, and still is, to use the action as a basis for a long desired light rifle in 250 Savage.  I kicked around what to do about a stock for a while and decided I'd be just as happy with the factory M7 CDL stock as anything.

I've looked for quite some time and finally found who is 'spose to be the factory distributer for Remington seconds, Stockysstocks - http://www.stockysstocks.com/servlet/StoreFront  , So I ordered one.

It is obvious why this stock is a second, the recoil pad is very poorly fit.   :(  However, and day always be a hi-ebber  ;D , I can live with that and the rest of the stock looks perfect!

Now, the wood is as plain as a mud fence but my days of spending a lot of money on gun wood are pretty much over.  So all in all I'm well pleased with the stock.  Guess I got no reason not to send that rifle to ERShaw for a 250 barrel now...  :D
