Trying to get fawns in the picture..

I got a Moultrie Game Cam II this fall and got some great shots just before firearms season opened here in Indiana... I want to try to get some small fawns running with the does. Can anyone suggest when (Month,etc.) would be a good time to put it out. I really dont' know when they are born, or when they begin actually running with their mothers... here is a neat pic I got... check out he moon in the background... Down here in So.West Georgia the fawns are generally born in the first week of June.We see lots of them in the wheat fields.When setting up your camera remember they are only the size of a small housecat.Give them about 3 or 4 days and they can't be outrun and caught.If you ever get to see one that is new born you will agree that God was really showing out when he colored those babies.I wish I could post pictures,as I have many photos of them in the wheat fields.Not many people know this but a newborn does not have any scent.I guess it is part of its protection.Good luck with your photos.I am CAL.....

The problem with wet springs is that it forces late season mowing, fawns don't move, and in tall grasses they can't be seen,  I've killed and maimed(and later killed) more than I'd care to admit.  If ya want a picture of a grown man crying, hang around while i go to the house to get a pistol to kill a 2-3 day old fawn with no legs.

This would be in the last week of May, first week of June time frame in Kentucky.
