  Working up a .243 Win load for deer/black bear, how about sharing your favorite, proven recipe?

I have not met a .243 that did not like RL19.

The .243 is adequate for deer, but I'd make out a will before I chucked a 100 gr. pill at a 4 or 500 lb. blackie.  Oh, it'll kill him.....the only question is, before or after he tears you up.  I'll stick with my .45-70 and 405 gr. Remingtons.  In fact, they'll be out with me this evening after Mr. Bruin.

Thanks guys;
     Another question; the .243 I am loading for is a  NEF 20" ultralight, Will I lose much velocity as compared to a 22" or 24" barrel?
  Should I opt for a faster burning powder..if so, which powder?

Not sure about bear, but I loaded my 22" NEF 243 with a starting load of imr4350 with gameking 85 gr HPBTs for deer.  I am getting close to 2900 fps, and I get just over an inch groups for 3 shots at 100 yards.  I did have to load them out pretty far to get near the lands.  I will try hornady RN bullets in the future as most of my shots are well under 100 yards.

My old standby has been 100gr. bullet with 40.0gr. of H414. It's a max. load so work it up carefully.

have a 24 inch barrel handi bull barrel and it likes 95 grain losler bt better then any other bullet I have tried
( rem cl 100, horn bt sp 100, sieera pro hunters 100, 87 grain horn sp) good results with h4350 and imr4064 both under 1 inch 3 shot groups.
