H&K SLB 2000
« on: January 01, 2004, 02:27:08 PM »
:?
I have never fired an H&K SLB 2000 rifle, nor seen one in use. I have walked past them on the store displays and handled them, but they don't fit my grip. This past week, as I was browsing the shops with some Holiday money in hand, I happened to be an observer to the purchase of one such rifle. The rifle was pricey. Do any of you forum shooters own one of these rifles? Shoot one? Know someone with one? It would be interesting to read what one of these expensive firearms offers.

8) Hello, to anyone who is interested in the HK SLB 2000.  I recently purchased one of these babies.  It is unusual in feel but you rapidly get comfortable once you have fired it a few times.  I have only had it out to the range twice since I picked it up but already have fallen in love with this ugly duckling.  It has a very smooth action, fast cycle and at 100 yards, I can keep it in the black all day with the factory fixed sites.  I picked it up at my local gun shop here in San Jose  for $850 + tax, it came with the 5 round and a 10 round detachable magazines and weaver type scope mount, mount is not attached yet but can be put on quickly with the supplied screws and allen wrench as the receiver and barrel are already tapped.  It's looks and feel remind me of the BAR, especially with the 10 round magazine in it.

Since I picked it up I have done some research and have seen it advertised online from $800.00 up to $1,400.00, it also appears that HK is no longer importing the SLB 2000 into the U.S.  So,  if you do get one plus can find extra magazines for it, I think that it's value can only go up.
