Just gotta be sure...CBA

Howdy,

I checked in the FAQs and think I know the answer, but I have to be sure.  A friend of mine is buying a NEF rifle tomorrow. The first three digits of the serial number are CBA.  So, this is a SB2 frame made in 2008 or after and is capable of inclusion in the barrel program, correct?

Yes, it was made May 2008 or later.

Even if its a 2008 frame could it not still be a SB-1 frame with 357,44or 45 colt barrel?

If you read the build year code list in the FAQs, you'll see SB1s made May 2008 and later have a different prefix.  ;)
