Well guys, I have been gone from the Handi world a few months chasing other projects, but I am back.

I actually think I am back to stay. I bought JB Weld today to put the front sight on the Topper 158. The threads are stripped and I am ready to start shooting. I am going to sand the joint down and rub with alcohol and then JB it and clamp in place 24 hours. I will be shooting 170 grain Rem CL if they are accurate. If not I will be shooting 150 grain Win Silvertips. I also have a Weaver K4 that will be mounted if the open sights aren't satisfactory.

Also I have been looking and hunting a new shotgun for quail and squirrel, well a friend is going to buy a 223 I have supposedly and then I will be buying a TDC 20 and a 16 barrel to go on the 158 or a new Pardner in 16.


It is good to be back.

For some reason I have some Handi's always about. I seem to take a preverse pleasure in doing as well, or better, than my friends with much more expensive rifles. Not that I dont like the high priced stuff, and have had some myself, but they all are just a launch platform.

I have 2 AR's.  ONE bolt gun in 30-06!  Ten or so old milsurps.  And 26 Handi rifles.  I don't have a problem, do I?  And I love taking a $200 rifle and outshooting a thousand dollar rig that somebody wants to check the scope on because they just missed a deer with it.
