« on: July 11, 2009, 03:22:56 PM »
Found one today with a Pentax 6 X24 & harris Bipod Rifle& scope in new condition The guys asking $500 firm. Its the heavy barrel/ & brow n laminate stock. Real nice looking gun I dont know anything about ruger rifles. Its the last thing in the world I need. But it seemed like a great price. Ive got a Rem 700 223 tht will shoot plenty accurate for me , but man that Ruger was sharp looking Should I snatch this gun up or pass Did I mention its a real sharp looking gun
I dont care what gun Im using as long as Im hunting

Best/easiest place to get values is from GunBroker, GunsAmerica, and/or AuctionArms.  Offhand, I'd say that sounds like a good price, but those sites will let you know what the market is right now.

Is the rifle a Ruger grey and which model Pentax ? Assuming Gamesseker and non-Harris bipod - the rifle would be about $350 if you subrtract value of scope and bipod . This is a good deal in my book for a hb Ruger - brown laminate and hb action are very good looking. The rifle should be accurate. Make sure barrel is in good condition.
