Yesterday was a great day for my son an I. He took his NE arms 308cal. rifle and I my 20ga. ush to do some serious shooting. We where the only hunters there! Had the range to ourselves! We set up on the 100 yard an settled down to the task. Last year the best I could do just before deer season was at a 50 yard range and I had the 20ush sighted in with Remington MR buckhammer's of which at 50yds shot pretty good! As of yesterdays shoot session the buckhammer slug lost out. At 100yds I could not get the Buckhammer slug to shoot good at all and the groups where lousy. I know these guns are designed to shoot the sabot slug, but I'm not paying $15.oo + dollars for a box of 5 sabot slugs. What I did buy awhile ago but never tried them was Federal 2 3/4" power shok rifled slugs. At 100 yards I am very pleased with the results! Once my BSA scope was readjusted for the Federal slug I was amazed!...Understand, not driving tacks here, but very acceptable deer hunting accuracy for the less than 100yd shots I will ever take in the deer woods I hunt. Thanks! Have a great day! scout4<><
