I am certainly no expert on Remington triggers, or any other triggers for that matter, but I don't think they use the same trigger.  Not to say that some guru couldn't make one work, I just don't think they can be drop-in switched.

I'm no expert either.

But, I have a 600, and was looking for a trigger several years ago.

A model 700 trigger would not fit my 600.  From what I hear there are two different model 600 triggers though.

Maybe a model 700 trigger will interchage with the other model 600 trigger.

Hope I didn't make things worse.

do you recall what didn't fit about it?  if the assembly itself wouldn't fit the action or if it didn't fit the inletting/trigger guard?  the reason i ask is that the only difference i can tell is the trigger itself is about a half inch forward on the 600 compared to a 700 trigger.  the reason i ask is im building something using my 600 mohawk.  when i had the stock made i asked for the guy not to inlet for the trigger guard, as i want to put on a 700ADL trigger guard, or something similar.  trying to figure out where the trigger is going to be sitting before i decide on a final trigger guard.  hope what i said makes sense to at least somebody..  thanks for any help though guys

The pin spacing was different on the two different 600 triggers.  The pin spacing was different on the 700 trigger that I tried also.

I never made it to your inletting question.

This may not matter but I see there is a recall on model 600 for the trigger/safety. Remington puts a "V" mark on the side of the trigger if the recall was done. I looked into this while researching one for sale, anyway still on the fence.

Timney has a trigger for the 700, 600 and 788, so there must be some small difference. I think the 600 and model 7 share a common trigger.
