United States Of Mexico
« on: September 17, 2010, 09:37:30 AM »
I bet no one ever heard of this.  Was listening to the radio one day this week and heard that president Caldaron was proposing a bill to change the name from the United States Of Mexico, to just Mexico.  Reason was that no one used the official title anyway.  Bill fizzled and went no where.  The reporter said Mexico had changed the Name back in 1967 to try and copy their northern neighbor.  Hoping the name change would help in improving their own prosperity.

So there you have it.  The official name of our southern neighbor is The United States Of Mexico.  Now I understand why the Border Patrol would never accept one saying "The United States".  They always wanted to hear "America" tacked on the end.
Where is old Joe when we really need him?  Alaska Independence    Calling Illegal Immigrants "Undocumented Aliens" is like calling Drug Dealers "Unlicensed Pharmacists"
What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.
