I'm sure you're correct. I have no experience with the 32 mag, but would expect less recoil from the 32. The 38 snubbies are not heavy recoiling guns. Anyone with an interest in the development of basic defensive skills should be able to become minimally proficient with a 38. That said, I carry a 32 ACP 24/7, not because I consider it to be an adequite combat handgun, but because it weighs less than 7 oz and is only 3/4" thick. Most of the time, this is in addition to a larger caliber. If my 32 and 45 were the same size, guess which one I would carry---------
