I bought this Contender 10 or 12 years ago and have had it in storage.  It's in perfect condition and has fired less than a box of cartridges.  I'm in Southern Tennessee and would like an estimate of the trade-in value with a dealer and the sale price to a private individual.  Any suggestions out there?

I'd say anywhere from $600 to $650 for individual sale.  Stainless can bring slightly more than blued.  I have no clue what a dealer would offer.  Years ago I bought a bare blued Contender in 44 mag from a dealer for a steal ($250 if I remember right) because he said he couldn't move it.

Just got a dealer quote today for "around $650."  This is the baddest looking pistol I've owned and may regret parting with it one day.  Just considering moving into something I would be more likely to use. I've got some nice guns but not a collector and don't have a lot of extra cash.  Thanks Curtis.  You were "On target."
