Equinox, balance an egg
« on: September 23, 2010, 05:44:30 PM »
Just for fun. ;D

This is the day you have exactly the same number of hours of daylight as dark.  You will be able for the next few hours to stand and balance a raw egg on the large end (must be on a flat level surface).  It will stand by itself until about daylight tomorrow then fall over.

Interesting !  So if i can't, does that mean my place is not flat and is unlevel?   :D

Take a fresh raw egg...put the ends in the cups of your hands, interlock fingers and try to crush it.

..TM7

I have seen many fall for that one!  :D

Old wives tale.  You can balance an egg any day of the year, equinox, solstice, eclipse, President's Day, my birthday, your birthday, doesn't matter.  see http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap030923.html and many others.

Sprinkle a bit of salt on the couter top/table and you can stand/balance a chicken embryo year 'round.
