35 Whelen misfire
« on: October 12, 2010, 12:20:23 PM »
Well, I have heard the stories of the 35 whelen mis firing and I never had a problem out of my TC Custom barrell until last week.  I took it in to the gunsmith to get a new heavier hammerspring put in it.. Has anyone else had this problem and did the heavier spring resolve it?

If your a handloader try making your Whelen brass  by necking up 280 Rem brass. 280 brass is a little longer bodied so you can move your whelen shoulder forward  a few thousandths.
