Game Camera To Prevent Vandalism
« on: September 23, 2010, 03:00:21 PM »
The company I work for has work sites in the county away from residential areas and we have been having problems with our equipment being damaged by vandalism. I started thinking that putting a good quality game camera might help in identifying the vandals or maybe getting a license plate number from a vehicle if we were lucky.

Does anyone have any suggestions on a good quality game camera that would have good enough resolution to help with this problem?

Any suggestions or advice would be deeply appreciated.

Thanks

You might want to try the bushnell trophy that came out in 2009 that has 24 LED's for night pictures and videos without a flash to attract attention. Sometimes you can find them online at Natchez shooting supplies for $139. There is a newer 2010 version but there has been problems with it. I think my 5MP bushnell's part number ends in 45C. The cuddebak capture has a pretty fast trigger too. You might want to go to www.chasingame.com and read all the reviews. Folks over there will help if you register and log on in the forums and ask questions. There are alot of cameras to choose from but not many that have a fast enough trigger that wont cost you an arm and a leg.I'd say check out Bushnell trophy cam, cuddebak capture  and HCO scoutguard.

Good luck ;)  We have cameras in our office.  Guys broke in, one looked right into the camera and then put on his mask.  Guess it doesn't matter as items stolen are still gone and person is still on the loose >:(
