Pot Belly Stove

My sister wants a new wood stove to replace a fireplace insert.  She is looking for one of those chrome and bright paint parlor/potbelly stoves to set off her front room.  She is looking for a fairly high effeciency stove with a great deal of impression when some one walks in the door.  It also needs to be somewhat easy to feed and clean.  Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

This will give you some ideas, but you'll probably have to order something from a local vendor if you want it installed.  This is a British company.

   I have Had a Jotul woodstove since 1976 and it is highly efficent and serves me (now my son) very well, it is the 1976 version of Jotul's Black Bear model, done in olive green porcelain.
   Both Jotul and Vermont Castings makes some very beautiful models with a porcelain finish... Beyond that, you can do a Google 'image search' for "pot bellied stove, porcelain"..

  where is she at?  i have one i spent alot on that i am trying to sell after using for only 2 monthsv then had to sell teh house.  they go for 2600 and i am selling mine for 1400.     
   if not close to me, check out the blaze king's.  they are the top of the line.  thermostats, dual fans, and 85% efficiency.

Those are some fancy looking critters.  My grandparents always had a wood heater/stove they they used for heating and occasionally cooking, but it was a much more primitive looking thing.  More like this:

 that Jotul Black Bear model..at least the one I bought in 1976, has me cutting 27" logs although it could take a couple inches longer. It burns from front to back, just like a cigar. :D Only drawback is the smaller than some front door..can't load really big logs, 4"-6" across the ends is about max.
  However, there is a hidden benefit..the top lid lifts off, admitting one to the smoke chamber (the smaller, second box on top). The stoves are made in Scandanavia and there they regularly use that area to smoke meat. More than once I or my son have lifted the lid and set a Correlle saucer in there with beef or venison and soon had some nice, smoked meat or jerky. Just remember to use the proper wood..cherry, maple, hickory etc.
