Oil filling without a funnel.

I found this works for me, you know them plastic water bottles with the pull tops? the right size caps screw right on a oil bottle, water or other which makes it easy to add oil without a big mess, works great on my ATV and lawn mower, any place where its tough to get to without spilling all over especially when adding ATF in your car or truck.
ive used one on a chaincase oil bottle to service my snowmobile chaincase which is in a tough spot to get a funnel in there.
It works great to top off antifreeze in snowmobile coolant reserviours.
Its handy when adding distilled water to boat and auto batteries.

i use an old syrup bottle for my chain saw oil and all the other little things works great and gives you a lot better control.

 Just ran into this thread. I was shown a simple trick using a long screwdriver to fill fluids into a small opening. Lay the shaft of the screwdriver across opening of the container to be poured from. Position it as you were trying to pour off the 'top' of the container. The bulk of the fluid should be on the low side.  Tilt the container up slowly until the fluid runs onto and down the shaft of the screwdriver. It will run down as it follows the length of the shaft.
 I've used this to fill hydraulic jacks from one gallon containers when there is no funnel to be found. You could use a piece of welding rod. a smooth stick, etc. You may loose a little at the end as it's going to run down the shaft after you stop pouring. It has worked well for me, I never tried it with flammables. HTH

dishwashing detergent bottles work well for oil cans as well.
