they call any knife that can be open with one hand a "switchblade" and in fact one of the knifes they called a switchblade was the Handy box cutter knifes that are sold at home depot. I saw the story 1st in Tactical Knives Magazine and it made mad.

I wouldn't live in NYC or any big city unless God called me to be a missionary there.  Been to NYC, too many people, too many buildings.  Hardly any trees except Central Park.  No grass either.

My wife works for an outdoor retail company and they had to settle with the NY atty general for selling cricket knives in the Soho store as well as online.  The settlement was quite large and the atty general was not satisfied with simply a cease and desist.  He wanted the cash!  That is the reason for enforcing this arcane law.  It has no merit and is simply a way for NY to collect cash from retailers.  Which will only get passed on to consumers.
