Last week I acquired a second Trooper MK III.
According to ProofHouse.com my original was produced in 1970 and the new one in 1972.
On the left side of the frame is a stamped rampant colt.
On my original one the tail of the colt is covered by the grips, while on the new one the stamping is more toward the cylinder.
Does anyone know if these stampings are supposed to be in a specific location, or if they are just put on randomly, maybe eyballed?
