BADGER BARRELS

Today I ordered (2) 45 cal. barrels from Badger Barrels. They said it would be 20 weeks more or less before delivery. Has any of you guys ordered from them lately, if so how long did it take to get your barrel? :(

Badger barrels are still quality barrels.

An alternative is Green Mountain.  Unless you've already sent money you might want to check these guys out at  http://www.gmriflebarrel.com/catalog.aspx?catID=BPCR-BlackPowderCartridgeRifleBarrels

Several folks on some other boards like the quality and prices..

just a thought

If you want an excellent barrel it's worth the wait.  Ernie tells it as it is that's for sure.  Talk about wait order A Shiloh Sharps.

popplecop you are correct.

I have two Badgers and a Douglas XX for my 44 1/2 Stevens.  The wait for the rifle was 22 months.   The barrels are super and I have no regrets at all.

However, I still maintain that Green Mountain produces a very good product for BPCR lovers.  My next will probably be a Green Mountain (maybe).

I have found the following to be true when looking for vendors of high quality machined parts. If a machine shop is not backed up with orders it may be a sign that the shop is not a top quality producer.

I've bought FAL barrels from Badger Barrels, and all I can say is good things about them.  Now I've got it a little easier because I live 30mins from them, so stopping in is a breeze.  Ernie is very busy, there is a reason for it!  His barrels are great.  I would rather have a business man tell it like it is, rather then say they'll be right on it, then not come thru as promised.  JCP, if you did place your order, the wait will be worth it.

Try Mike Rock down in the same general area. Barrel is at least as good.

Ernie's an original for sure.
