Nice out of context proof-texting BB. But you need to finish the citation, which has the charge put upon the husbands:

 I have seen and heard more then enough men that are scared of their wives. Laws and culture in this part of the world have given women lee way in using violence against their husbands when displeased or angry. Guys are supposed to suck it up when this all could be settled easy.

Religious discussions aside, scripture has no effect on legality of an act.  Your religious freedom ends where the rights of another person under secular law begins.  Doesn't matter what either camp thinks of it.  Rape is illegal.  Obey the law or go home.  It boggles the mind that we'd even need to have this discussion in the 21st century.
