Brand new Topper 148
« on: October 12, 2010, 06:23:53 PM »
Made another pawn shop buy today of a Topper 148.  Has a 32" full choke barrel, and a receiver without the transfer bar.  Seems to pattern well.  I'm going to give it a try at the next turkey shoot I go to, though it probably won't out pattern my Improved barrel I've been using with success.

Not in bad shape at all, good bore with some surface rust.

I'm going to give a try at fitting my other barrels to this frame, as I like it better than the transfer bar.

If that works out, I will have a three barrel shotgun ;D.  Tell that to someone who doesn't know H&R and you would probably get an odd look.....

Lol, yep.  I have my grand dad's old 1910-1920 vintage .410.  I definitely love that gun. ;)
