Remington Magazine Box Questions

I know the ADL and the CDL/BDL/SPSs use a different box.  I have a .223 ADL that I'm converting.  The bottom metal I bought came with a .243/.308 box which is quite different from the .223 ADL box.  Can I modify the .223 ADL box to work or should I just try to find a .223 box from a CDL/BDL/SPS?  I believe the ADL follower and spring will work.

I normally just use the conversion kits from Midway.
