Mossberg 464 - product assessment input wanted

Just finished reading an interesting article regarding the composition of the 464 from shooting times. Touted as A 21st-Century Lever-Action That’s Right For The Traditionalist. Anybody own one and can share a real life product assessment without any gun mag bias or slant?.

The Winchester Model 94 is again on the market...

Mossberg firearms have always been good firearms, Plain Jane in appearance, but good firearms.

You may think I'm a bit snooty, but, I have always bought firearms that gave me pride in ownership. Mossberg firearms have never inspired pride of ownership in me.

I would hazard the guess that the Mossberg 464 would be a good value for a hunting rifle. I would need to know more about it, such as what metal is the receiver made out of.

If you like Plain Jane, the Mossberg 464 will probably do you very well.

I like the Mossbergs and own a few that work really good.  Sometimes it's fun to have a wall hanger, but I like working guns mainly.  ;)  This was another new version from Davidson's in S/S I really liked the looks of.  Enjoy!
