I agree with "war" approach. Law enforcement level isn't cutting it. Get the air force involved. identify strongholds and cook them. Use ground troops to invade and weed them out of the civilians. What more reason do you need than bullets hitting the El Paso city hall? And to begin with give 60 day notice for people to make arrangements then seal every road to and from Mexico. Nobody in, nobody out. A few will sneak through the desert but the mass drug trade will be out of business. Drugs, like any product, needs transportation other than a person carrying it i.e. trucks, roads, etc. And when a delivey vehicle is spotted, since they would be insurgents, don't worry about arresting them. That's why God invented laser guided bombs. I tend to think that a drone or F-22 would cause them more concern and hesitation than the threat of a police car. No matter how many rifles or bombs they have they know they would be helpless. I don't know if everyone knows what a tank sabot round does to another tank but you better bring a soup lattle to clean the mess up. Just picture a 120 lb goat being sucked through a 10" hole. Much more of a deterrent than red & blue lights. These folks aint fighting for belief just cash. Money don't mean that much when your about to be a charcoal briquet. I think after the first mass killing on US soil then we will act. I could see it happening. Putting bullets into El Paso city hall is just to test reaction, not an accident IMHO. The US did nothing. The US has fought too many wars and have the technology to take the war to them. Someone in high level is just not acting for whatever reason. Proactive persons win, Reactive persons are stuck with the mess to clean up after licking their wounds.
