New to me PT-908
« on: October 20, 2010, 06:24:08 PM »
I picked up a used stainless PT-908 today.  It looked to be in great shape, shiny bore and not much wear on the slide or frame.  It is light and comes up to point very naturally.  I took it out and ran a box of Remington cheapies, FMJ, through it as fast as I could pull the trigger and reload with out any failures to feed or eject.
Here are the questions.  It was originally made with an 8 round magazine.  Taurus only sells 10 round mags.  Does anyone have one of these pistols and do the 10 round mags extend below the grip.  I think I can still buy 8 round mags via Mid Way though but an extra 2 is a handy enhancement.
Also, I would appreciate the evaluation of anyone who owns one.
Thanks as always!
Dana
