SIG P250?
« on: June 21, 2011, 11:12:22 AM »
Anybody have one of these? I was at a shop the other day with money burning a hole in my pocket. I loved the Para P-14, but don't really need it (and it's heavy for CCW). They didn't have a CZ75, which I want just because I like 'em. But I ran across two things I liked and am trying to justify - a Springfield XD-9 and a Sig P250. Both felt great in the hand, and the Springfield had a better trigger than a Glock, I think. The Sig was 300 bucks, new condition but not... and I'm tempted. I'm not a fan of double-action only, being more of a single-action Hi-Power kind of guy, but for DOA it was a very smooth (if long) pull.

Anybody got one? Opinions on it?
Jesus said we should treat other as we'd want to be treated... and he didn't qualify that by their party affiliation, race, or even if they're of diff religion.

If it is a toss up, something to consider is aftermarket support. The trigger can be greatly improved in the XD, and holsters are pretty widely available, not so much for the SIG.  The wife carries an XD9sc. I've shot some 300 rounds through it without a hitch. With the extended mag it feels like a bigger gun, the standard mag makes for a small pkg.

The 250 is offputting to me. Some folks are fine with it. I think the trigger takes some getting used to, as you found very long but fairly soft pull. The Lego aspect means nothing to me. If you are into that aspect make sure you see the parts you want and get a price. Not a lot of money saved as far as I'm concerned.

took beatin on a trade for Kimber. It has relieability problems, I also hated DOA  I would not get a Sig 250  or a Sig period I lost half the value on a trade.

thanks for feedback. I'm holding off. Glock looking ever better (or going cheap for a PA63)
