Find the does and you'll find the bucks.  You'll find the does where the food is.  You'll need to find out what they're munching on at the time.   Hunt the trails between the bedding and feeding areas.  Also, if you can take it, stay on stand all day.  The deer should be moving all day.

Good luck!

rainy days don't stay on stand and don't stay home.
It is an oppertune time to get on your belly and crawl to the bedding area and get that monster.

I've hunted off of route 2 and near dunkirk. Bunch of homes in the area now I bet.  I used to live in Upper Marlboro off of 301. Good luck this year

One trick I have used over and over is a drag in the evening...take the hind leg metatarsal gland from a buddy's fresh killed doe, and dunk it in your favorite, like Tink's 69.  Drag it to your stand and hang it in a sapling, that you can see and shoot from your stand, about eye level.  In the quiet, just before dark, the breezes tend to shift slightly.  That 6 pointer that has been sneaking around the big buck's territory might just show up...be ready! :D
Young guys should hang out with old guys; old guys know stuff

Thanks for the help..I went out t-day. I sat in the pines because where im at  the wind was blowing hard, and it was snowing...Thought for sure I was atleast going to see a deer comming in to bed down on a bad day like t-day...The only animal I saw out there was a few squirrels...Just shows ya, nothing is a sure thing...But it was beautiful out there, makes me wish it was rifle season...

stay in the woods as long as you can during the rut.  I have seen 2 bucks this year after I have wanted to get down and i told myself sit 30 more minutes.  IT will pay off sooner or later.

JeffG is right about a tarsal gland and Tink's 69 (although dunking it is a bit overboard, IMHO.  I always cut the tarsal glands out of does I kill, and put 'em in a plastic bag in the freezer.  Before the rut, I thaw them and use them as is as a "comfort" scent.

I've only had estrous scent work for me once before, and it only brought in a non-shooter.  This year, I bought some Tink's #69 gel, with some skepticism.  During the rut (in MD), I put two drops of that gel on a tarsal gland, and set it about 3 feet off the ground in the crook of a small tree about ten yards from my tree.  A couple of hours later, a nice six point came straight up the hill, sniffing.  I put a Muzzy 125 through him at 7 yards, and he fell over about 30 yards away.  I stayed put so as not to disturb a nearby buddy's hunt.  That was at 4 in the afternoon.

Twelve minutes later, I heard some stompin' and snortin', and out of a thicket comes a nine pointer that made my eyes bug out.  I guess he caught wind of the doe pee AND the six pointer, and didn't like the competition.  Shot him at 8 yards.  Tagged out in twelve minutes (had already taken more than the two does required to shoot a second buck in my county)!  I'm a believer in scent, now.
