new member here from central alabama. I am 56 years old, widowed 3 years, would have been married 35 yrs oct 11. wife died of breast cancer. love to hunt and fish. just bought an ultra hunter with laminate stock in 25-06 for my soon to be stepdaughter. ordered the youth stock from h&r to fit her since she is 4'10". she shot her first deer last year with my winchester featherweight 270, a 160lb 5 point. pretty nice deer for her first. was thinking of getting the barrel shortened on the ultra to 23" fro 26" to make the gun ballance better but wasn't sure what that would do to the ballistics. any ideas?
