Zanotti model 725 O/U Shotgun

I have a friend that ran across a O/U 28ga shotgun  made by Zanotti model 725. He said," it looked very nice and a person could pick it up for $2,000". My question is that a good price? I was interested and didn't know what to do. Thanks for your input. Twyman

Hi Twyman haven't heard much from you lately.

Personally I have never heard of that brand but a search in Blue Book tells quite a long story on them. They are an Italian premium gun maker who makes only custom guns from what I understand. Blue Book doesn't list any O/Us from them but their SxS guns base price is around 31,000 Euros. I have no clue what that is in dollars but it makes me think an O/U from them is surely worth a whole lot more than $2000 but that's speculation on my part.

Would you believe they have been around since 1625? I had no idea.

Bill, Thank you for your input about the Fabio Zanotti o/u shotgun. I could not belive the bule book prices on Zanotti guns. That is why I made an input request on the webb. Like all of us old folks I had a bumb in the road. Everything is getting better. I have been writing a few stories for Art to put in the One Good. Shot. I will let you know what happens about the 28 ga O/U Zanotti. Twyman
