The water was froze over this morning
« on: October 28, 2010, 10:38:46 PM »
All except the lakes and big sloughs were frozen over this morning.East of me 50 miles the water wasn't frozen. The wind died down and all the critters moved.I saw muskrats out swimming all day.The deer were out most of the day.The big storm brought snow geese, canada geese, mallards and more sandhill cranes.I ran a 200 mile loop scouting today.
I love the smell of coyote gland lure early in the morning. It smells like victory!!

We had our first hard frost last night--way late in the year for us.
Looks like this next week will be just fine for us water trappers.
