Bore ride nose means the nose is fitted to ride on only the tops of the rifling lands. It is the most common type of rifle bullet made by the other mold makers, because heavier bullets can be chambered easily with this type bullet.
However, I've found that a strong bearing is mandatory to keep bullets centered and balanced in the bore, if one wants accuracy easily, which 99% of my customers do, and is why I don't cut two diameter molds, but leave them to those moldmakers who don't care to improve cast bullet performance. I say it is far wiser to modify the guns throat if necessary and match winning accuracy is desired, so a straight bullet can be used. Those who have tried it love it.
One of the curses of br nose bullets which I cannot live with is the fact that if a person has one fitted so it will shoot, it will pull the bullet quite consistently if a live round is extracted from the chamber, spilling powder everwhere and making a knockout rod mandatory to remove the stuck bullet. I don't want to sell that kind of thing. Personal opinion base on experiance.
