O/T A fellow Hunter needs some help.
« on: October 17, 2010, 05:08:30 PM »
My best Friend has found himself in in Dire Straits and is going to be in the Hospital for at least three more weeks. He has Diabetes and had a huge chunk of his foot cut out due to infection. His Kidneys are not working properly. He is pretty down in the dumps right now. Like most of us here, his love is Hunting. I am trying to get a bunch of hunting dvd's to help occupy his time while in the Hospital and recovery. If anyone can send one, two, or three he and I would appreciate it. Heck, maybe this is something that can be used by many on here. When he is well, I will keep them on the ready for any hunter friend that needs them!

Tim, if this is posted in the wrong forum please let me know and I will remove it.

My address is

Brian Hofstrom
P.O. Box 1795
Owensboro Kentucky 42303

Thanks for everything!

I have a couple, Hope they make him feel better than they make me feel when I drag home a spike, while they pass up those 2.5 year old 12 point Non-"shooter bucks"  ;)
They have just been sittin here getting dusty.
Hope he heals up good and is good to go next fall.

Sorry for the delay. Shipped today 10/22/10 Please pre-view one looks like it could just be lots of advertising about making food plots or something. Throw it is you can't use it. The other one should be a better true hunting video.  thejanitor

I don't have anything to offer your friend but my prayers. I face the same fate permenamtly, but on a different reason I had to give up hunting forever. since I became "married" to a oxygen tank. Copd and a weakened heart put me down. Not related to smoking, just bad lungs from birth. Ironically, I am a retired janitor.Best of luck to your friend. :)

I wanted to tell everyone why I thought this to be such a great idea. If my wife ever finds that counter at the top that says Total time logged in: 37 days, 16 hours and 4 minutes, I might become hospitalized and need some videos too. ;D

Mine are going out in Monday's mail.

Thanks, Dinny

Brian, how is your buddy doing? I just saw this but I think it is a great idea. Do you still want DVD's? If you do I will check around and see if I can scrounge some up to send...<><....:)

Thanks for asking, He is now home and on a wound vac (stuck on the couch with his foot propped up). If you have some and your willing, He would love to see them. I think he has DVR'ed about all that is on the outdoor channel.

Again, Thanks for asking!
