I am FF/EMT from NJ. I just started trapping this year. I started, because fox & coyote are eating alot of my livestock(from chickens to adult goats)
I have caught 5 reds, 5 coons, 5 skunks, and a few grinners. I have been lurking for awhile and learned a few things.

I was in your shop on friday. Ron was right, you are a great person. You have alot of knowledge now if I can only get it all out before you head to your next trapping state. I caught 2 reds friday saturday night. those slim locks are nice. I will post pic for you. What would it take for you to make a nice pair of crimpers like you have.[/img]

1 was caught with the slim lock and the other with the set up I got last year for coyote. neither snare was boiled or dipped. both plain jane and shinny. I have a dozen drying now, then I will replace the dozen already set to dip them. See your snares are so good even a newbie can catch with them.

I am in south jersey, we just have crickers not pineys. They are the same though. I am not sure whether I like the slim locks or the washers better. It is  easier to release a deer with the washer locks.

some more pics for you newt
this was 1 of ron's snares

this was the coon that I told you about. For everyone else I had a coon go into 3 live traps every night and break out. he destroyed the traps. It would take me hours to repair them. after about 8 days I finally got him notice the rub on his head he had the same on his neck from forcing his way out

in the trap
