What to do with this 94 Trapper...
« on: December 19, 2010, 04:23:46 PM »
I have had this 94 Trapper in 44 mag for some years now.  It has always shot big 3-4" groups at 50 yards with IMR 4227 and a 240 gr XTP.  I loaded up some rounds a couple of years ago with H110 and a 240 gr XTP and it started shooting one hole groups at 50 yards.  Had it out before deer season this year and it was shooting 3-4" groups with the H110 and even bigger with the IMR 4227.  I really like the gun, I just have no use for a gun that I cannot trust and is not repeatable.

I have two people waiting in line to buy it, it looks like new.  I just hate to sell a gun that I like that is not even made any more and is hard to ever replace.  I still think I might send it down the road though, at least take the scope off it, it does not shoot good enough to justify a Leupold scope.

Before you "send it down the road" (perferably to me) try another scope.
Leupolds are not GOD, they do mess up from time to time.
If the gun shot with that load and nothing has happened to it and now it doesn't shoot with the same ammo?, I would say scope related!
Loose screws or bad scope maybe.
Worth a try.
If no go, then give me a PM.
I have two now, a 30/30 and a 45 colt.
Would like a trio!
