Chubbs,

I don't have any info on the wsm but I do have a couple of Questions.

Who did the barrel for you? Does it have a brake? Is it stainless or blue?

I shoot the 338WinMag in a 15" SS barrel with a brake and love it. I am curious as to how the wsm will compare.

If I find any data I'll pass it your way.

Ronnie

I don't have info personally but ask for fifty or fiftydriver on this forum http://specialtypistols.infopop.cc/6/ubb.x?a=cfrm&s=9066056864  He has XP-100 338 WSM and has used to take several big game animals.  he will be very informative.

I concur with the max loads in the Encore.  You will have to be content with less than what you could accomplish in a bolt gun.  You can get into some of the same problems with some of the belted magnums in the Encore as well if you try to run it is as hard as you would in a bolt gun.
