I was setting a new line this afternoon.I got to a spot late in the day.It's a flooded county road ditch.The road is closed due to damage from high water this spring.In one section there is a rat house about every 20 feet.I started putting in floats with 2 traps per float,a good smear of Lenons Muskrat Super Call Lure.I set one for every house and feedbed on this section.I can't get over to set the houses or feedbeds as the water is too deep.While setting the 3rd float I heard a splash behind me.A trap was missing from the first float I set.I finished making my sets and went back to the first float.I had a nice muskrat in the trap drown.Only one other time muskrat trapping have I had a rat caught and heard it while setting.There were muskrats swimming in the ditch when I left.
