I unfortunately got screwed by work this spring. I was to be sent out of town for training for two weeks and was asked if I wanted to go in April or May. I said April since May is most of spring turkey season around here. I was assigned May and someone else got April. Well that person decides to go on a cruise in April instead and rather than just switching us they send a different person in April and I'm stuck with May. Arrrrrr.

I only got out a couple of times and used the Cody. You can only hunt til noon here in the spring so this was the equivalent of one day of hunting. I got a lot of gobbles but couldn't get them to come in. I found out that I could put some chalk on the call and striker and get better performance.
