I've got my 20SF and now I need to feed it. I've got some ammo on hand, but now I want to either A.)buy some ammo in bulk to break in the gun then reload the brass, or B.)just buy the reloading components and start from scratch.
From what I've seen out there the best deal going is the 500rounds for $180 at cheaperthandirt.com. It gets mixed reivews, but if all I want to do is break in the gun and collect the brass it may not be a bad way to go. I just don't know how good the brass is from the ammo at CTD. If you guys know of a better deal for factory ammo please speak up.
For reloading components I'm leaning towards starline brass and the cheapest 180gr jacketed bullets I can find for plinking, but 180gr hornady XTP for the serious full power loads. I'll probably use titegroup powder because it's what I have on hand for the 9mm.
The problem with the reloading components is that when I price them out I'm never to shy of the deal at CTD and if all I save is 20-30 it's worth the money to save the time it takes to get setup reloading the first batch.
Any thoughts that could help a 10mm rookie?
