took new 44 mag hunting
« on: November 20, 2010, 08:15:40 AM »
Bought an hr 44 mag for indiana firearms season. Used it sat morning on a doe at 65yds. I watched her come twords me, then she changed direction and started walking away.  I hit her to far back  rear leg but bullet went right through the chest and exited behind the front leg. She went 15yrds and fell dead.  2nd dear was 9pt buck 45yrds  broadside. This deer was going some place in a hurry . I grunted at him 3 tmes before he stopped. He went about 15 yrds . I was using 240gr winchester soft points  and nikon 2x7 scope . I picked this set up from reading on this site. Thanks to all who post here. Love my new gun. Hope your hunting season goes well  billd ;D ;D ;D

 Great job!
The more reports I hear of Indiana guys being successful, the more I worry about our deer population :D
