Please Help with Information ...
« on: August 06, 2010, 10:02:46 PM »
   Greetings!

A few years ago, I acquired a Rocky Mountain Arms Corp. Breech-Loading Black
Powder .22 rifle. I believe that it was invented by Dick Casull. It's stamped on top
of the receiver: "R.M.A.C. A22W".
This .22 has a rotating breech that, when turned 1/4 turn, exposes the chamber
and primer. A BP charge is poured into the chamber, and #4 Buckshot is pressed in.
The Primer takes a "cap-gun" paper cap, which is held in place by a metal cap. The
Breech is then rotated back into alignment with the bore.
What I'm looking for is an Owner/Operator Manual, an Article / Write-up, or a copy
thereof, or where to look for the same.
My .22 is a little abused, but very useable, and I intend to enjoy it. I would really
like more information regarding its manufacture and history. If any one of you can
help, I'd be delighted to hear from you.

   Thanks Much!

               M.T.Marfield

M.T.,

Welcome! Google will probably be your best friend at tracking down leads to what you are looking for. I will give you a jump start. Good luck in your search.

There is a gentelman named Bill Jacobsen in this thread that claims to have worked at R.M.A.C. from '72-'74, this may be your best lead, if you can contact him. This is dated information, 2 years old, but may be worth a shot.

I saw one at the gunshow this weekend.

MT

My name is Craig and I have one of these rifles that was bought for me when I was young.  I still have the original box and the instruction manual.  The manual does not contain very much info, but I would be happy to get you a copy if you need. Give me a call if you need it! 630 621-0103

   Greetings, All!

BUSTA: That's the one! I acquired my .22 at auction for some small amount. I haven't shot it yet.
I'd LOVE to get copies of Gun Digest, etc. articles, magazine reviews, etc.
OFPD68: I'd be delighted to get a copy of your Owners Manual! Things have been hectic, but I'll drop
you a line, soon. Thank You for your generosity!!

   Be Well, All!
