Bottle Rocket in Fire Cracker Canon
« on: November 23, 2010, 09:03:46 AM »
DD in conversation this morning mentioned firing a bottle rocket out of my FC cannon .
 Good idea ....

Took a bottle rocket and striped the stick and paper off .
Cut off the plastic body to allow proper fuse length and loaded it in FC cannon

Took it out side , Brrrrrrrr, -8 at present   and fired it off .

That's a good looking torch you're using to light that fuse with, bet the wind doesn't blow out the flame. Cool video. Thanks for sharing.

If you watch very carefully you will see  the airburst down range.  Because the airburst is down range, it is away from the camera microphone and not very loud.

If I didn't know better I'd say that was on the Eastern Front.

One's perspective is modified over time.  (You've been there a while.)

HERE, "bitter cold" is when it gets down to 15 d F above zero.

Here where I am, (Houston), bitter cold is when the temperature plummets to 50 degrees in January, and we have to put on our heavy shorts. :D

I use to live in the  Houston area, 'umble just off FM1960.  You got that right, when it got to 60 it was cold and at 50 you shivered.  Never been cold enough to shiver in Montana.   Virginia was almost as bad, it would get down to the 40's before your started shivering.
