I owned one for about a year, it was a neat revolver.  Very accurate, front sight was dovetailed, big plus, very cool.  My big complaint was when I tried to order a replacement cylinder hand assembly for a backup, could not get the proper part.  Everyone kept trying to sell me the remmy 1858 cap and ball one, which was just a tad shorter.
VTI...did this, I kept sending it back, finally got hold of Cimmaron arms and talked to a guy there who said...yup, that part is a wee bit longer, he dug around and found ONE, said he'd send it to me after he took pics to get more from Uberti.  Anyways, I liked this revolver so much shot the heck out of it for about year, finally, the spring broke on the hand assembly, took the one replacement part I had and fitted it, sold this to a guy that shoots cowboy shoots after that.  Also, I think the bolt/trigger flat spring is longer as well! So I liked it, it shot nice, but replacement parts are a big thing for me, I waited almost a year to get a proper hand assembly, this was the only negative point I had.
Cylinder is large enough to be six shots in 45 colt (you can only load five anyways for safe carry), the back plate had a loading gate, revolver was easily taken all a part, I liked all that. Just don't know if some spare parts are easy to get, maybe they are now that it's been out for awhile.

They list tons of parts on their website, but I do notice it says nothing about "In Stock" or not.  It does say "Improved" in the product heading, think it is a newer version than yours? How long ago did you have yours?

Bought mine a couple years ago, they had not been out that long. Someone must have parts, Uberti has to have them.  Problem was people on the phone kept telling me they sent the right parts and that there is no difference in the parts, took me a while to find someone who finally figured out the hand is longer, and they even sent me the wrong one at first, wound up calling there (Cimarron) and having them look into it more. I would think after all this time there would be parts around, it's a neat looking revolver.
VTI told me over a year and a half ago they would send me one when it came in, I payed for it, but oh well, I doubt I will hear from them either way, it's been too long and I don't have that gun anymore. Uberti did a good job on this gun, I had a lot of fun with it and shot it a lot, I had no complaints at all except I had problems getting the spare parts I wanted.

Taylor firearms is selling this same model.

Uberti did have some problems with the first run guns, but have since reworked the whole gun and it is now much more reliable.

I have been researching this gun quite a bit, and of all the places offering this gun for sale, Taylor is the only one to offer it with the factory made specifically for this gun, add on cylinder for C&B if one so desires it, and I do believe I do desire it!

I talked to Taylors gun smith earlier today, and he said he has a bunch of the 45lc cylinders in, but the 45lc gun and the C&B cylinders are on back order, and they are taking names for the next batch they get in!

Actually, to call this gun by Uberti an 1858 conversion is a misnomer, as it was made to be as it is, a cartridge gun!
Even the C&B cylinder is a bit different than that of the 1858 model Uberti makes!
Uberti is even using a higher grade of steel in this gun than that of their 1858 C&B.

It would be better suited with calling it an 1858 Remington, 1868 conversion replica!
