As some of you are aware about the 35 Whelen that would not shoot(misfires). I now have a new 30 30 that is only 70 t0 80 % misfires. You know that I am really happy about that.
I shall call for a shipping label and go throught the ordeal once again. No, I am not going to try to fix it. It's a new gun, and misfires are unacceptable with me.
But now for the other side of the story: Friday afternoon, my grandson, just turned six years of age, got his first really large doe. I had cut the stock down to 61/4 inches. He is a very small boy. I had purchased a 20 in. 243 bbl and loaded him some 85 gr. Sierra youth loads. He missed a doe last week about 80 yards out, but he scored on this one. Really made PAWPAW happy.
By the way, there has never been a misfire with that 243.
I just purchased a new set of BC furniture from Spanky for my 30 30. I bet that will stop the misfires.
YOU THINK?
