RB .454 scope mount
« on: November 11, 2010, 03:01:44 PM »
How to keep the Taurus factory scope mount from moving? I use Loctite on the screws and get them tight as possible. I've went threw two Red dots because of the mount moving and it's wearing the bluing off the barrel.
                                                  Thanks
RIP Mike. Died on July 14th, around 2am, with his family at his side, he went peacefully to be with god.

Hmmm, mine has never moved on me at all.  Strange.  I set all the screws at about 20 in-lbs if I remember correctly.  The slats completely fill the vents in the rib so not much ability to move.  You might try some kind of thin tac strip between the rib and the scope mount.
